We thought we’d give you a quick intro to what’s new and what you can expect from what is our brand hub, where all things MAP happen.
The biggest change you’ll probably notice is the e-commerce functionality of the website. From feedback we’ve had from end users, and looking at how we can support retailers, we recognise that getting our products in your hands needs a channel that is modern. Through the website you can select the products that you want and get them fast via free delivery Click & Collect to a local store, or delivered direct to your door for a small charge. What’s more, EVERY purchase made means an appointed retailer gets a slice of the purchase in the form of commission. So, even if you’re getting it delivered to your home, your appointed retailer will be supported financially.
The Click & Collect function is something we’ll be promoting heavily as part of our “Shop local, online” campaign to support our network of trusted retailers; independent tackle shops are the lifeblood of the industry and they’re more than just place that stock tackle – they’re a home for communities, a place where deep levels of knowledge can be accessed, and services utilised.
As part of the support for our retailers, we’re also running a ‘blackout’ period for all new launches; if a product is new then it’s ONLY available instore for the first 6 weeks of its product cycle, meaning independent retailers will be the only place you can purchase those products. We believe in our retailer network being important to anglers and this step is part of that commitment.
Away from the e-commerce element of the website, we have the EXPLORE area, which houses news, web features and technical documents. Over time this will grow, as we add new stories, how-to features and technical info to give you a deeper understanding of our products, our brand and also of general fishing techniques, thanks to our team of anglers.
Of course, support is also key, which is why we have FAQs and a clearer way to access the teams you need; whether it’s order queries, warranty or just general info, you can contact the relevant department quickly and easily.
So, that’s the new website in a nutshell. Exciting times lay ahead for MAP so join us on the journey into getting more people fishing.
