With the launch of our brand-new range of UK Handmade pole floats, we thought it’d be a great opportunity to give you some ideas on how to set your new floats up, and what situations they are most suited to.

Shallow One

A versatile pattern which is at home fishing against the mudline on snake lakes as it is for fishing shallow or even dobbing with bread or maggots in the winter months.

Shallow Two

Based on our original shallow diamond float which was incredibly popular, this pattern needs no introduction and is perfect for a wide range of shallow fishing situations and particularly good when slapping the rig is important.

Shallow Three

If you’re fishing in shallow water either to an island, far bank or up in the water for carp or f1’s, this is the float for you.

Margin One

If you’re faced with a deeper margin swim, the Margin 1 float is the ideal choice! Perfect for a wide range of baits and built to withstand the demands of catching big weights.

Margin Two

A classic design purpose built for bagging! Whether you’re fishing in the margin or across to an island or mud line on commercial venues this float is a true ‘go anywhere’ pattern.

Margin Three

If fishing to islands and in shallow water down the margins with big baits is the situation you find yourself in, then the Margin 3 has you covered! With a thick bristle on this float, supporting big hook baits such as corn, double worm or paste is made easy.

Deck One

A brilliant all round commercial float which is at home in any depth up to six to seven feet deep. The Deck One is excellent for baits such as pellets, corn, meat or maggots whether you’re fishing short or on the long pole.
