We know the importance of being comfortable on the bank and this new softshell jacket helps in achieving ultimate comfort; whether used as part of a layering system, or just as an outer layer when you don't need full waterproofing, it's a stylish and functional bit of kit.

The ripstop softshell construction means it offers movement and flexibility whn you need it - such as when casting or shipping - without being overly baggy. This means as a mid-layer for cold conditions it doesn't add extra bulk, but when it's warmer and used over a t-shirt or base layer, it helps retain warmth even in strong winds.

It features handwarmer pockets, a soft interior, a full hood with cinch adjustment, plus elasticated cuffs to keep draughts out and a close fit on your wrists.

How to Measure

Chest

  1. Wrap a soft measuring tape around your chest. Position it so that the tape is horizontal to the ground, and falls just under your armpits.
  2. Bring it around your back so that the ends come together in front, across the widest part of your chest.
  3. Record the number at the point where the tape measure meets itself. Don't stick your chest out or exhale; just stand normally. The tape should fit snugly without digging in.

Waist

  1. Wrap a soft measuring tape around your waist. Position it so that the tape is horizontal to the ground.
  2. Stand up straight and breathe normally wrapping the tape back to the front of your waist. The tape should fit snugly without digging in.
  3. Record the number at the point where the tape measure meets itself. Don't stick your chest out or exhale; just stand normally. Make sure the tape measure is not twisted.

Hips

  1. Wrap a soft measuring tape around your hips. Position it so that the tape is horizontal to the ground ensuring your feet are together (otherwise the measurement will be too big).
  2. Bring the tape around so that the ends come together in front. Your hip measurements should be taken at where your hips are the widest.
  3. Record the number at the point where the tape measure meets itself. The tape should fit snugly without digging in.

Leg Length (Inseam)

  1. Stand up straight with your legs slightly open.
  2. Place the top of a soft measuring tape on your inner thigh as close to the crotch as possible.
  3. Pull the tape measure tight and run it down to the bottom of your ankle. Record the number at this point.

Tip: Ask someone to read the measurement for better accuracy or read the measurement in front of a mirror. If you don't have a tape measure, use a piece of string and measure the string.
