Designed with demanding situations in mind, whether that be catching big weights of carp, or fishing for bream and roach on a natural venue the Competition range has you covered.
We have two different lengths of keepnet in this collection – a three-metre net, which is perfect for most fishing situations on commercial and natural venues.
We’ve also listened to MAP customers, and we realised that there are times when a longer net is required, so the newly introduced four-metre Competition keepnet will be perfect in these situations.
Whether you’re fishing from a high bank, or on a river, this net is sure to be popular with natural water anglers.
We have used a failsafe Multi Tilt angle thread, which is reliable and enables the angler to lock the keepnet into any position once the bank stick or keepnet attachment is tightened onto the thread.
The top ring on both nets is oversized giving a greater surface area in which to place fish, decorated with the black and blue MAP livery.
Fish safety is always a big consideration when designing any kind of landing net or keepnet and the Competition Keepnets are no exception, featuring a tough heavy duty fish friendly mesh throughout to ensure your catch is returned safely, without damage.
One of the most important design elements in the new Competition keepnets is the use of weighted aluminium rings, with this you can be sure of your net sinking, and staying in place to stop any collapsing of the net on the fish inside.
These rings also ensure the lifespan of the keepnet is massively increased, with no material on the outside of the bottom four rings, meaning that the mesh has full protection from rocks and the ground when lifting the keepnet from the water.
These are typically areas that suffer the most wear and tear in use, so you can be sure of your keepnets lasting the test of time.
Pegging points are also included on the bottom of the keepnet if pinning them to the bank is required on canals or commercial venues.
